Estilo de vida adoptado por estudiantes universitarios en el contexto del COVID 19

Resumen

Ante el COVID 19; el estilo de vida y hábitos de comportamiento personal, familiar y social de las personas se han afectado abruptamente. En el Perú, se estableció el Estado de Emergencia Sanitaria y se estuvo confinado en cuarentena focalizada; los estudiantes de la FIS-UNCP debieron estudiar de modo remoto desde el lugar donde se encontraban; por lo que se hace relevante conocer cuál ha sido el Estilo de Vida adoptado en periodo de pandemia. La población fue de 301 estudiantes, a quienes se les entregó virtualmente el Cuestionario Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile (HPLP I) de Nola Pender, contextualizado a la situación problemática, considerando los 48 ítems en 6 dimensiones. El estudio mostró que en promedio el estilo de vida adoptado es no saludable, destacándose las dimensiones de responsabilidad en salud, ejercicio y manejo del estrés con 89.04%, 85.05% y 75.42% respectivamente. Únicamente en las dimensiones de actualización y nutrición se han adoptado estilos saludables con 71.43% y 60.80%. Estos resultados derivaron en planes de acción para el desarrollo de conductas físicas, de relación y alimenticias de los estudiantes; los cuales permitirán mejorar su forma de vivir.

ABSTRACT

Facing COVID 19; the lifestyle and habits of individuals, family and social behavior of people have been abruptly affected. In Peru, the State of Sanitary Emergency was established and people were confined in targeted quarantine. FIS-UNCP students had to study remotely from wherever they were. Therefore, it is important to know what the Lifestyle adopted in the pandemic period has been. The population was 301 students, who were given virtually the Health Promoting Lifestyle Profile Questionnaire (HPLP I) by Nola Pender, contextualized to the problematic situation, considering the 48 items in 6 dimensions. The study showed that on average the lifestyle adopted is unhealthy, highlighting the dimensions of responsibility in health, exercise and stress management with 89.04%, 85.05% and 75.42% respectively. Only in the updating and nutrition dimensions have healthy styles been adopted with 71.43% and 60.80%. These results derived in action plans for the development of physical, relationship and eating behaviors of the students; which will improve their way of living.
