Se logró el objetivo de especificar los procedimientos que debe cumplir a cabalidad enfermería en pacientes postoperados. Se utilizó como métodos revisión bibliográfica de textos, revistas científicas y estudios realizados previamente. Se pudo verificar mediante estudios que parte del personal de enfermería aún tiene bajos conocimientos sobre el manejo de estos pacientes tanto en el área de quirófano hasta el área de hospitalización. Se deben hacer más esfuerzo en adquirir conocimientos teóricos y destrezas para ofrecer una mejor atención al paciente postoperado y conocer los protocolos del servicio quirúrgico, el personal de enfermería es indispensable desde el mismo momento que el paciente inicia su recuperación postanestésica y cirugía hasta que egresa donde su responsabilidad se inicia cumpliendo sus órdenes médicas, educando al paciente y realizando procedimientos pertinentes.Palabras clave: Postoperatorio inmediato y mediato, papel de enfermería, paciente postoperado. ABSTRACTThis research requires all the knowledge and skills that nursing personnel must have specifically in the management of postsurgical patients in both pediatric and / or adult patients regardless of age, sex, ethnicity or nationality. The objective of specifying the procedures that nursing must fully comply with in postoperative patients was achieved. Bibliographic review of texts, scientific journals and previously carried out studies were used as methods. It was possible to verify through studies that part of the nursing staff still has low knowledge about the management of these patients, both in the operating room area and in the hospitalization area. More effort should be made to acquire theoretical knowledge and skills to offer better care to the post-operated patient and to know the protocols of the surgical service, the nursing staff is essential from the moment the patient begins his post-anesthetic recovery and surgery until discharge where your responsibility begins by complying with your medical orders, educating the patient and performing pertinent procedures.Keywords: Immediate and mediate postoperative, nursing role, postoperative patient.
