Por ello, el objetivo de esta investigación estuvo dirigido a diseñar un grupo de estrategias denominadas el libro viajero como una herramienta para mejorar la enseñanza del proceso de lectura en los niños de 4 años de edad que asisten al centro educativo “Pisullì”. Metodológicamente fue una investigación de campo, de nivel descriptivo con un diseño proyectivo. La población y muestra estuvo conformada por 8 docentes tanto de preescolar como de primer grado de básica. Los resultados evidenciaron la necesidad que tiene tanto las instituciones como los maestros para ir asimilando nuevos retos en materia de calidad educativa, así como ejercer su libertad de proponer nuevas formas de educación.Palabras clave:Diario Viajero, Estrategias, Iniciación a la lectura. ABSTRACTReading as a cognitive thought process in the early years of schooling, represents one of the most significant issues for the further development of other abilities of children, from there the relevance of locating strategies for introducing children and join the family group in this learning process. Therefore, the objective of this research was aimed to design a group of strategies called the educational book as a tool to improve the teaching of the reading process in children  of 4 years of age attending the "Pauli’s educational center ". Methodologically, it was a field research, of a descriptive level with a projective design. Population and sample was integrated by eight teachers of preschool and first grade of Basic. The results showed the need for both, the institutions and the teachers of the assimilation of new challenges in the field of quality of education, as well as to exercise their independence to propose new forms of education.Keywords: Traveler diary, strategies, introduction to reading.
