Caracterización de los fumadores de Barajagua

Resumen

El consumo de cigarrillos se considera factor de riesgo para la salud y se ha demostrado la asociación entre la adicción de fumar y el aumento de la morbi-mortalidad. Para conocer sobre ello se realizó un estudio investigativo descriptivo longitudinal que caracteriza a los fumadores del Consultorio Médico de las familia de Barajagua en Cumanayagua durante el año 2013, mediante un muestreo no probabilístico integrado por 92 pacientes dispensarizados como fumadores, a los cuales se les aplicaron para el estudio, una encuesta que aportó las variables siguientes: edad, sexo, ocupación, grado escolar, enfermedades que padece, antecedentes de fumador. Los resultados indican que la prevalencia de fumadores es de un 17.2%, con predominio de los adultos y el grupo de 25-59 años con un 28.3%, resalta el nivel secundario de escolaridad. El 96.7% refirieren más de 10 años de consumo y el 55.4% fuman entre 10 y 20 cigarrillos/día, acompañados del consumo de café el 54%, y 72% de bebidas alcohólicas. La hipertensión arterial, y la enfermedad pulmonar obstructiva crónica, son las principales enfermedades que padecen asociadas al tabaco.

ABSTRACT

The consumption of cigarettes is considered risk factor for health and mortality has demonstrated the association between the addiction of smoking and the increase of the morbi itself. In order to know on it an investigating descriptive longitudinal study accomplished itself that he characterizes the smokers of the Doctor's Office of them family of Barajagua in Cumanayagua during the year 2013, by means of a sampling not probabilistic integrated for 92 patients dispensarizados like smokers, to the ones that they applied for the study, an opinion poll that contributed the variables following to them: Age, sex, occupation, school degree, diseases that he suffers, smoker's background. Results indicate that the prevalence of smokers belongs to a 17,2 %, with predominance of the adults and the group of 25-59 years with a 28,3 %, highlight the secondary level of scholarship. The 96,7 % refirieren more of 10 years of consumption and the 55,4 % smoke between 10 and 20 cigarettes day, accompanied of the consumption of coffee the 54 %, and 72 % of alcoholic drinks. High blood pressures, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, are the main diseases that the associates suffer tobacco.
