El bullying, un flagelo contemporáneo presente en el contexto educativo ecuatoriano

Resumen

El acoso escolar es un flagelo de escala universal, que afecta el normal desarrollo integral de los estudiantes. Con el objetivo de analizar las causa y consecuencias del acoso escolar en Ecuador se realizó un estudio descriptivo de tipo revisión bibliográfica sustentado en los métodos de la investigación científica; hermenéutico, análisis de contenido y analítico-sintético, que permitieron determinar que el acoso escolar o bullying es un problema presente en las escuelas ecuatorianas con el objetivo de dañar la integridad moral de la víctima mediante la agresión verbal, física o psicológica, muchas veces subvalorado e ignorado por la comunidad educativa. Este flagelo no solo daña a la víctima también tiene consecuencias negativas para el victimario y los espectadores. Sus causas son múltiples, socioculturales, familiares y de organización de la escuela.

ABSTRACT

Bullying is a scourge on a universal scale, which affects the normal integral development of students. In order to analyze the causes and consequences of bullying in Ecuador, a descriptive study of a bibliographic review type was carried out, based on the methods of scientific research; hermeneutical, content analysis and analytic-synthetic, which allowed determining that bullying is a problem present in Ecuadorian schools with the aim of damaging the moral integrity of the victim through verbal, physical or psychological aggression, often undervalued and ignored by the educational community. This scourge not only harms the victim, it also has negative consequences for the perpetrator and bystanders. Its causes are multiple, sociocultural, family and school organization.
