Importancia educativa sobre el respeto a la dignidad humana de las personas privadas de libertad

Resumen

El derecho de las personas privadas de libertad a recibir un trato humano mientras estas se encuentran bajo custodia del Estado, es una norma universalmente aceptada en el derecho internacional. Las condiciones de vida y el trato dentro de los centros de rehabilitación no siempre favorecen el derecho de las personas a recibir un trato digno. El presente artículo tuvo una modalidad de investigación cuali- cuantitativa, ya que permite el análisis de una amplia gama de hechos y eventos. Se desarrolló bajo el modelo descriptivo. Se empelaron métodos como la revisión bibliográfica, y un análisis a través del método de los Mapas Cognitivos Difusos. Como resultado fundamental de la investigación, se planteó que es necesario realizar labores que humanicen a nuestros futuros profesionales de derecho, para que no solo velen por el cumplimiento de las leyes, sino también de la integridad de las personas. Se propuso propiciar espacios educativos, donde se puedan debatir temas de bioética con los estudiantes. Además, hacerlos parte del proceso de rehabilitación de las personas privadas de libertad. Resaltando la importancia del principio bioético de respeto a la dignidad humana.

ABSTRACT

The right of persons deprived of liberty to receive humane treatment while they are in custody of the State is a universally accepted norm in international law. Living conditions and treatment within rehabilitation centers do not always favor the right of people to receive dignified treatment. This article had a qualitative-quantitative research modality, since it allows the analysis of a wide range of facts and events. It was developed under the descriptive model. Methods such as bibliographic review, and an analysis through the method of Fuzzy Cognitive Maps were used. As a fundamental result of the investigation, it was suggested that it is necessary to carry out tasks that humanize our future legal professionals, so that they not only ensure compliance with the laws, but also of the integrity of people. It was proposed to promote educational spaces, where bioethical issues can be discussed with students. In addition, make them part of the process of rehabilitation of persons deprived of liberty. Highlighting the importance of the bioethical principle of respect for human dignity.
