Valoración del trabajo educativo en las comunidades y empresas que confluyen en la actividad minera

Resumen

La explotación minera en las localidades con recursos naturales provoca afectaciones a las comunidades e incumplen las regulaciones establecidas para la protección del medio ambiente. El desarrollo económico que requiere el país en este sentido debe estar aparejado a un buen trabajo educativo en aras de la prevención para la protección del entorno, que incluya a los pobladores y las instituciones. En la Parroquia Telimbela perteneciente al Cantón Chimbo, son varias las  quejas por la sobreexplotación de los recursos y con ello los peligros de contaminación que se producen en recursos como el agua. La investigación realiza una valoración el nivel en que se encuentra el trabajo educativo en las comunidades y empresas que confluyen en la actividad minera. Se pudo determinar aún resulta insuficiente el trabajo que se realiza al respecto por parte de instituciones estatales, que no logran el trabajo conjunto con las comunidades para disminuir los efectos negativos al medio ambiente. Se proponen algunas acciones a desarrollar para contribuir a la disminución de los efectos negativos que se aprecian en la comunidad y su entorno.

 ABSTRACT

Mining exploitation in localities with natural resources affects the communities and violates the regulations established for the protection of the environment. The economic development that the country requires in this sense must be coupled with good educational work for the sake of prevention for the protection of the environment, which includes the inhabitants and institutions. In the Telimbela Parish belonging to the Chimbo Canton, there are several complaints about the overexploitation of resources and with it the dangers of contamination that occur in resources such as water. The investigation carries out a study of the current regulations for mining works and their compliance, as well as the state of the educational work of the institutions with the inhabitants for the achievement of a correct prevention of affectations and the protection of the environment. It was possible to determine that the work carried out in this regard by state institutions is still insufficient, which do not achieve joint work with the communities to reduce the negative effects on the environment. Some actions are proposed to be developed to contribute to the reduction of the negative effects that can be seen in the community and its environment.
