La enseñanza del idioma inglés como segunda lengua. Estrategia didáctica para la Educación Básica Superior

Resumen

La enseñanza es un proceso bilateral para el que se deben preparar tanto docentes como estudiantes. Si este proceso implica el dominio de una lengua extranjera se necesita de la experticia de aquellos que en él laboran y abordan la temática del idioma inglés como segunda lengua. Este hecho conlleva a pensar en romper con determinadas normas que han caracterizado esta enseñanza para emprender un camino dónde la ideas novedosas nutran el proceso de aprendizaje del estudiante y con ello eleven su cultura no solo en la lengua por si sola sino en las costumbres, ideas, religiones, comida y un mundo artístico de otros países que hasta ese momento no han conocido. Desarrollar la enseñanza del idioma ingles implica tomar decisiones didácticas que logren imbricarse en la cultura y ascender en el estudiante hasta lograr cambios no solo en el conocimiento sino en el comportamiento y actitud ante la vida como estudiante y futuro profesional a partir de una enseñanza que promete ser el eslabón de toda una educación. El trabajo que se presenta es la síntesis de la experiencia de los autores y la puesta en práctica de muchos años de servicio a una educación que aspira a convertir la enseñanza del idioma ingles en eslabón transformador del estudiante.

ABSTRACT

Teaching is a bilateral process that should prepare both teachers and students. If this process involves the mastery of a foreign language, it is required the expertise of those who work and approach the subject of English as a second language. This fact leads to breaking certain norms that have embarked teaching on a path where new ideas nourish the learning process of the student and raise their culture not only in the language itself but in customs, ideas, religions, food, and an artistic world of other countries that until that moment are not known. Developing the teaching of the English language implies taking didactic decisions that manage to interweave the culture and to ascend in the student until achieving changes not only in the knowledge but in the behavior and attitude towards life as a student and future professional from a teaching that promises to be the link of an entire education. The work presented is the synthesis of the experience of the authors and the implementation of many years of service to an education that aspires to turn the teaching of the English language into the student's transforming link.
