El pensamiento crítico: un reto de la enseñanza actual

Resumen

Fomentar en las aulas universitarias el pensamiento crítico en los estudiantes es una prioridad permanente de las carreras profesionales, sin embargo, la práctica docente revela deficiencias que impiden su ejercitación. El objetivo del estudio se orienta a analizar las causas que inciden en su desarrollo en los estudiantes del I ciclo de la carrera de Derecho de una universidad de Lima. El estudio se basa en el enfoque metodológico cualitativo en la investigación educacional. La muestra tomada por conveniencia la conforman 20 estudiantes y cuatro docentes que tienen a su cargo la enseñanza. Se aplicaron distintas técnicas empíricas que evidencian el estado real del problema. La selección se hizo considerando que los estudiantes en este ciclo requieren fomentar el pensamiento crítico durante la carrera y en tal sentido, el método de proyecto por su carácter reflexivo en el análisis de los problemas propicia la construcción del conocimiento y el desempeño en los procesos universitarios. A partir de ello, se diseñó una propuesta metodológica que surge del proceso de sistematización teórica y de las causas que indicen en el pensamiento crítico reveladas en el diagnóstico de campo.

ABSTRACT

Fostering critical thinking in students in university classrooms is a permanent priority in professional careers; however, teaching practice reveals deficiencies that prevent its exercise. The objective of the study is oriented to analyze the causes that affect its development in the students of the first cycle of the career of Law of a university in Lima. The study is based on the qualitative methodological approach in educational research. The sample taken by convenience is made up of 20 students and four teachers who are in charge of teaching. Different empirical techniques were applied to show the real state of the problem. The selection was made considering that students in this cycle require the promotion of critical thinking during their studies and, in this sense, the project method, due to its reflective nature in the analysis of problems, favors the construction of knowledge and performance in university processes. Based on this, a methodological proposal was designed that arises from the process of theoretical systematization and the causes that indicate the critical thinking revealed in the field diagnosis.
