Educational Ecuatorian magistrates needs to strengthen the democracy and the political participation

Abstract

The political participation in the selection of the magistrates of The Constitutional court is a process that must be accompanied for an adequate educational formation that allow the citizens understanding and exercising his role of informed way and criticism. This article examines the educational fundamental needs to strengthen the democracy and the political participation in Ecuador, specifically in the context of the selection of the magistrates of The Constitutional court. It is  delimited in a descriptive and exploratory focus, destined to identify and to examine the educational needs in the formation of democracy and the political participation, particularly in the process of selection of the magistrates of The Constitutional court of Ecuador. The principal method of collection of data was the application of a questionnaire structured to different interest groups. The age of bigger percentage is between 18 and 25 years with a light equilibrium between the participants of the masculine sex with a 50 % and give them the female sex with a 49 %. The University Student highlights the educational level and magistrates' knowledge of the process of selection finds in Bajo's ranges Moderado. The participation in democratic processes is largely occasional or rare, and the perception of transparency in the judicial system is moderate to fall. The results evidence a significant request for bigger information and capacitation in civic and judicial themes, that way I eat for programs of continuous formation and the use of interactive technologies educationally.
