Didactics of teaching management of space and time in the Educational Psychology classroom

Abstract

The Higher Education System of Ecuador, like other Latin American educational systems, is in constant transformation as a logical response to the challenges of global crises, the development of new technologies and the rise of the knowledge society; which strategically proposes the increase in the use of active methodologies based on the use of technologies, improving curricular organization and perfecting teaching skills. These strategies motivate this research with a mixed approach and correlational scope; whose objective is to diagnose teaching didactic competencies to manage space and time in the Educational Psychology classroom of an Ecuadorian public university. The results confirm the construct validity and internal consistency of the applied instrument, in addition to the strong connection between its items; Its analysis allows for an updated diagnosis of the teaching didactic competencies necessary to manage space and time in the Educational Psychology classroom of an Ecuadorian public university and indicates the need to update and perfect teaching competencies through training programs using Active methodologies based on the use of technologies and increasing ease of access to digital technologies.
