Del método científico al método clínico en el manejo de las enfermedades odontológicas

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es resaltar la importancia de la aplicación del método científico, como expresión del método clínico en el proceso de enseñanza –aprendizaje en los escenarios de atención al individuo. En el campo de la odontología se resalta la importancia del manejo de las patologías utilizando el método científico en el proceso de enseñanza–aprendizaje, el cual garantiza la ejecución de las etapas del método clínico y finalmente concluir con un diagnóstico certero y la terapéutica correcta, unido a la rehabilitación de las funciones afectadas. Les corresponde a los profesores enfocarse adecuadamente en su labor formativa hacia la formación de habilidades consideradas esenciales para lograr el desarrollo adecuado del método clínico en cada escenario docente.

ABSTRACT

The aim of this work is to highlight the importance of the application of the scientific method, as an expression of the clinical method in the teaching – learning process in the settings of attention to the individual. In the field of dentistry, the importance of the management of pathologies using the scientific method in the teaching-learning process is highlighted, which guarantees the execution of the stages of the clinical method and finally to conclude with an accurate diagnosis and the correct therapeutics, together with the rehabilitation of the affected functions. It is up to the teachers to focus adequately on their training towards the training of skills considered essential to achieve the proper development of the clinical method in each teaching scenario.
