La enseñanza de la percusión latina en la educación superior en Colombia

Abstract

La enseñanza de la música ha cobrado importancia en la formación de profesionales donde se preparan tanto instrumentistas como docentes especializados. La percusión se ha tomado como objeto de estudio en diferentes instituciones en educación superior en el mundo y hace parte indispensable como asignatura en la educación musical en Colombia. Por ello en este trabajo se aborda el dominio de la percusión como instrumento principal en el énfasis de interpretación musical. Se propone dar a conocer el marco histórico y teórico de la asignatura Percusión Latina, además presenta una síntesis de varios referentes teóricos y didácticos utilizados para su enseñanza. Esta asignatura es puesta en práctica en el énfasis de la carrera Maestro en Música en el nivel superior, lo que contribuye al desarrollo de la educación rítmica al iniciar un camino al partir de la enseñanza de las tradiciones populares de Latinoamérica y el Caribe.

ABSTRACT

The teaching of music has gained importance in the training of professionals where both instrumentalists and specialized teachers are prepared. Percussion has been taken as an object of study in different institutions in higher education in the world and is an indispensable part as a subject in music education in Colombia. Therefore, this work addresses the domain of percussion as the main instrument in the emphasis on musical interpretation. It is proposed to publicize the historical and theoretical framework of the subject Latin Percussion, also presents a synthesis of several theoretical and didactic references used for its teaching. This subject is put into practice in the emphasis of the Master in Music career at the higher level, which contributes to the development of rhythmic education by starting a path from the teaching of the popular traditions of Latin America and the Caribbean.
