Effective use of authentic series in the formation of professional communicative competence of future philologists in a foreign language
Abstract
Modern educational standards (built on a competency-based approach) for training highly qualified specialists impose high requirements for the professional competence of future philologists in mastering a foreign language and linguo-cultural competences. The article aims to substantiate the use of authentic series as an efficient tool for the integrated formation of professional communicative and linguo-cultural competence of future philologists and the development of the corresponding set of exercises. The study presents the prerequisites for using authentic series as interactive learning technologies. The authors develop the “Viewing room” interactive learning technology and the possibilities of its use for the integrated formation of professional communicative competence in a foreign language, including the criteria and principles for selecting authentic series and their fragments, stages and content on the implementation of the technology, and a set of exercises designed for this technology.
