Abstract
Since the third improvement of the National Education System in Cuba, the educational institutions of Primary Education have undergone important changes in the educational model that do not always correspond to the traditional way of school organization. The objective of the research carried out was oriented to characterize the process of school organization in the educational institutions of Primary Education in the municipality of Las Tunas, in the context of the improvement of the National Education System. A descriptive study was carried out with a non-experimental design, which synthesizes the fundamental features of the studied process. The main research methods and techniques used were the interview, survey, observation and document review. The results of the study of the dimensions show that managers have insufficient knowledge of the practical content of school organization in primary education institutions, which limits their ability to foresee everything necessary for planning, organization, regulation, control and evaluation. It is also evident that there is insufficient knowledge among managers of the content of coordination and integration relations with agents and representatives of agencies in the educational community, which limits their active and protagonist participation in decision-making for the achievement of the goals of the educational level in this context.
