Impact of soft skills in senior management of public universities in Peru

Abstract

The objective of this article was to determine the impact of skills in the senior management of public universities in Peru, since it imparts and creates scientific knowledge, solving national problems, even with international repercussions. The research was qualitative documentary of scientific articles, the Prisma method was used, with a range between 2006 to 2024. For the search preselection, the keywords “Soft skills”, “Senior Management in public universities”, “Impact of soft skills in Senior Management of public universities in Peru” were used. Then, the search for information continued, always reaching 20 selected articles. Soft skills were found to have a direct, positive and strong relationship between job performance and efficiency, teamwork, knowledge, commitment and leadership. Therefore, it is important to emphasize these variables and apply them to organizations to improve university performance.
