Abstract
The transformations in the scientific and technological order that characterize today's world generate various social needs that require being satisfied by fully trained professionals who can respond to the demands of contemporary society with ethics, responsibility and commitment. In health careers, educating in values takes on a peculiar meaning, since medical professions require a way of acting that reflects deep comprehensive training. The objective is to base education on values with the use of Cooperative Learning in the training processes of health careers from a communication perspective. Methodology. This is a pedagogical research, with a qualitative approach. Bibliographic review, documentary analysis and group sessions were used; information that was very useful for obtaining partial results. Results. The demands declared in the governing documents of health careers, the scientific reflections resulting from studies carried out at different levels on the effectiveness of Cooperative Learning, as well as the information resulting from the instruments applied in group sessions, point to the need to design intentional educational actions from the curricular that encourage and strengthen the training processes for education in values. Conclusion. The process of educating in values is not achieved spontaneously; It requires consciously organized, guided and intentional methodological work from the curricular perspective, which enables the student's development in that direction.
