Clima social familiar y rendimiento académico en estudiantes de una universidad pública de Lima

Resumen

La investigación parte del objetivo determinar la relación que existe entre el clima social familiar y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos. La investigación pertenece a la tipología básica y nivel correlacional, como métodos se utilizó el método científico, el descriptivo y el hipotético deductivo, con un diseño descriptivo – correlacional, la población estuvo conformada por 1525 estudiantes de la Facultad de Educación la muestra probabilística estuvo conformada por 245 estudiantes. Para la variable clima social familiar se trabajó con el test de Moss adaptado en escala ordinal; donde se tuvo en cuenta el criterio de confiabilidad (Alfa de Cronbach: 0,954) y para la validez se realizó por el criterio de constructo confirmatorio: 0,978; y para la variable rendimiento académico se tuvo en cuenta el historial académico de los estudiantes de la muestra de estudio. La investigación concluye con un nivel de significancia del 5% que existe una correlación directa y altamente significativa entre el clima social familiar y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes de la Facultad de Educación de la Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, estableciéndose que a mejor clima social familiar, existirá un mejor rendimiento académico y viceversa.

ABSTRACT

The research starts from the objective of determining the relationship between the family social climate and the academic performance of the students of the Faculty of Education of the National University of San Marcos. The research belongs to the basic typology and correlational level, as methods the scientific, descriptive and hypothetical deductive methods were used, with a descriptive-correlational design, the population was made up of 1525 students from the Faculty of Education, the probabilistic sample was made up by 245 students. For the family social climate variable, the Moss test adapted to the ordinal scale was used; where the reliability criterion was taken into account (Cronbach's Alpha: 0.954) and for validity it was performed by the confirmatory construct criterion: 0.978; and for the academic performance variable, the academic history of the students in the study sample was taken into account. The research concludes with a significance level of 5% that there is a direct and significantly significant correlation between the family social climate and the academic performance of the students of the Faculty of Education of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, establishing that the better the climate family social, there will be better academic performance and viceversa.
