Formación de habilidades investigativas en especialistas del Centro de Recursos para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación

Abstract

Las demandas de la sociedad de la información y la incorporación de las nuevas tecnologías en la actividad bibliotecaria han supuesto un importante redimensionamiento en las competencias profesionales de sus recursos humanos. Este estudio presenta un plan de superación para el desarrollo de habilidades investigativas con el aprovechamiento de las TIC en bibliotecarios de la Universidad de Cienfuegos. El plan se organiza y estructura en tres etapas. La investigación es cualitativa y se sustenta en la aplicación del método de análisis-síntesis y del inductivo-deductivo, la revisión bibliográfica documental, la encuesta aplicada a 18 trabajadores de la biblioteca y la entrevista semiestructurada a cinco actores clave de la institución universitaria para conocer la opinión experta sobre estrategias para la formación de competencias profesionales. La viabilidad y pertinencia de los aportes se corroboran a partir de talleres de socialización. Los resultados demuestran que el uso creativo de la estrategia ha permitido fortalecer el pensamiento crítico, la autogestión del conocimiento, la capacidad de análisis y la redacción científica. Las reflexiones propuestas revelan cambios y transformaciones que contribuyen al perfeccionamiento del desempeño de los bibliotecarios en la gestión de la información y en el manejo y uso adecuado de las infotecnologías.

ABSTRACT

The demands of the information society and the incorporation of new technologies in library activity have led to a significant resizing of the professional skills of its human resources. This study presents an improvement plan for the development of investigative skills with the use of ICT in librarians of the University of Cienfuegos. The plan is organized and structured in three stages. The research is qualitative and it is based on the application of the Analytic-synthetic and the Inductive-deductive methods, the Documentary bibliographic review, the survey that was applied to 18 library workers and the semi-structured interview with five key actors of the university institution to know the expert opinion on strategies for the formation of professional competences. The viability and relevance of the contributions are corroborated from socialization workshops. The results show that the creative use of the strategy has made it possible to strengthen critical thinking, self-management of knowledge, analytical skills and scientific writing. The proposed reflections reveal changes and transformations that contribute to improve the performance of librarians in information management and in the management and proper use of info technologies.
