La novela y la metodología de adaptarla al cine y la televisión

Abstract

La siguiente investigación nace con la finalidad de analizar una selección de libros bestsellers y ganadores de premios, en los géneros de terror, drama y romance para determinar si su adaptación cinematográfica fue fiel al material original, cuáles funcionaron en la pantalla grande y cuáles no. Con el objetivo de contar con el material variado se realizó la selección de libros que son conocidos por lectores jóvenes y adultos. Finalmente, se identificó el material de apoyo sobre la escritura de guion y entrevistas previas a los realizadores y a los escritores para determinar las razones por las que se dificulta la adaptación de un material previo, a guión, o si el material presentado fue eficaz en transmitir la esencia del libro, lo que puede causar que la película no logre el impacto deseado en el espectador.

ABSTRACT

The following investigation was born with the purpose of analyzing a selection of bestsellers books and prize winners, in the genres of horror, drama and romance to determine if their film adaptation was faithful to the original material, which worked on the big screen and which did not. In order to have the varied material, the selection of books that are known by young readers and adults was made. Finally, the support material on script writing and interviews with filmmakers and writers was identified to determine the reasons why it is difficult to adapt a previous material, to a script, or if the presented material was effective in transmitting the essence of the book, which can cause the film to not achieve the desired impact on the viewer.
