Educational activity on the protection of women in the practice of prostitution in the city of Ibarra
Abstract
Prostitution is an activity developed in society since ancient times, which although in many societies it is prohibited and punished, in Ecuador it is a form of work developed by women, which is recognized, authorized and legally protected since the Constitution of the Republic. Through quantitative research, where various surveys were carried out with professionals specializing in constitutional law in addition to surveys with female sex workers in the city of Ibarra, it was possible to determine the components of the insecurity and violation of the practice of prostitution, from which A socio-legal analysis was carried out of professionals specializing in the branch of constitutional law who have spoken out regarding the fundamental rights recognized within the Constitution. It was determined that despite the importance of local authorities to help in the control and security of communities, thus helping the individual and collective well-being of the entire city of Ibarra, the work carried out from educational work is lacking and with the participation of different institutions and social sectors, to contribute to the protection and help of women who work in prostitution as a form of work to maintain their economy and livelihood, which constitutes a need in the city of Ibarra , which must be attended to by the State.
