Sistema Informático para la gestión de la información académica en la Cátedra Universitaria del Adulto Mayor

Abstract

La presente investigación se realizó en la Facultad de Ingeniería de la Universidad de Cienfuegos con el objetivo de contribuir a la gestión de matrícula de estudiantes, memorias de eventos, talleres y otros tipos de actividades que se desarrollen en las Cátedras Universitarias del Adulto Mayor (CUAM), contribuyendo a que toda la información esté accesible, reduciendo el tiempo en las búsquedas de información y permitiendo la gestión de reportes de interés. Para la implementación del sistema se utilizó MySQL como Sistema Gestor de Bases de Datos, Apache como servidor web, PHP como lenguaje de programación y el frameworkYii. Se analizó la factibilidad del desarrollo del software obteniendo resultados positivos al igual que en la validación del mismo.

ABSTRACT
The current research was carried out in the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Cienfuegos to improve the management of information regarding the students’ registration, events, workshops and other kinds of activities developed in the university working groups for elderly people (CUAM in Spanish), and thus to contribute to have all the information always accessible, reducing the time when searching information and allowing the management of reports. For its implementation, MySQL as Database Management System, Apache as web server, PHP as programming language and Yii framework to support the development were used.
