Meditaciones sobre la cultura en Cuba

Abstract

El tema de la cultura cobra singular significación en la actualidad, bajo las condiciones en que el impacto que la globalización neoliberal en los países de la periferia y en el caso de Cuba, es una realidad. El autor toma como criterio que la cultura tiene un carácter histórico concreto con sus respectivos rasgos generales y particulares en cada época histórica del desarrollo de la humanidad, así como su carácter integral, pues se analiza a partir de tres grandes significados: la formación de los individuos, los resultados del proceso de formación de la personalidad (conocimientos, valores, conducta) y los productos de la actividad humana (materiales y espirituales). Se reflexiona sobre los diversos modelos de interpretación de la cultura, los criterios de José Martí acerca del tema y se aborda la cultura en la Revolución Cubana.

ABSTRACT

The topic of the culture takes special role nowadays under the global impact on the neighboring countries and in the case of Cuba, it is a reality. The author takes as approach that the culture has a concrete historical character with its respective general features and matters in each historical time of the humanity's development, as well as its integral character, because it is analyzed starting from three big meanings: the formation of the individuals, the results of the process of formation of the personality (knowledge, values, behavior) and the products of the human activity (material and spiritual). It is meditated on the diverse models of interpretation of the culture, the approaches of Marti about the topic and culture is approached in the Cuban Revolution.
