La tecnología educativa en tiempos de crisis

Abstract

Las tecnologías, son los dispositivos digitales que se pueden conectar con un ordenador o con internet, hoy son, las herramientas más potentes y versátiles que la sociedad haya conocido hasta el momento. Sin embargo, en el campo de la educación no han sido explotadas adecuadamente, a pesar del potencial en su actividad docente, lo cual podría explicar el poco éxito de los métodos y medios utilizados en la institución educativa para formar los ciudadanos del siglo XXI. En este artículo se valorará el papel que pueden cumplir estas herramientas digitales, tanto en la eficacia de la actividad docente en tiempo de crisis, permitiendo nuevas formas y medios de aprender, fomentando la iniciativa personal o la interacción social, específicamente en América Latina. Para ellos se realizó un estudio de diferentes publicaciones en los últimos 20 años que arrojó elementos útiles, para la que los sistemas educativos los implemente y así puede aportar para preparar a los ciudadanos para un futuro que, en estos tiempos de crisis y cambio, demandará conocimientos nuevos y en el que la iniciativa, el trabajo en equipo y las habilidades sociales seguirán siendo favorables.

ABSTRACT

Technologies are digital devices that can be connected to a computer or the internet, today they are the most powerful and versatile tools that society has known so far. However, in the field of education they have not been adequately exploited, despite the potential in their teaching activity, which could explain the limited success of the methods and means used in the educational institution to train the citizens of the 21st century. This article will assess the role that these digital tools can play, both in the effectiveness of teaching activity in times of crisis, allowing new ways and means of learning, promoting personal initiative or social interaction, specifically in Latin America. For them, a study of different publications in the last 20 years was carried out that yielded useful elements, for which the educational systems implement them and thus can contribute to prepare citizens for a future that, in these times of crisis and change, will demand new knowledge and where initiative, teamwork and social skills will continue to be favorable.
