Abstract
Education on self-regulation of behavior and emotional stability emerges as a crucial factor in the rehabilitation of people deprived of liberty. This study, of a bibliographic-documentary nature, has as its primary objective to design educational interventions that promote self-regulation and emotional stability. With a transversal approach from Clinical Psychology, which provides a comprehensive perspective to address the emotional and behavioral needs of this population group. A documentary review of the files of 120 Persons Deprived of Liberty (PPL) was carried out to identify emotional alterations. Among the most frequent were anxiety disorders; problems controlling impulses; aggressiveness and violent behaviors and emotional self-regulation needs. An educational program was provided to teach the PPL the management and self-regulation of their behavior, as well as the workers of these centers to contribute in this regard.
