Workers, recognition, and training: challenges for Ecuadorian organizations
Abstract
Human capital is an invaluable asset for both companies and society as a whole. Organizations that recognize the value of human capital and promote its development, growth, and well-being tend to achieve better results and generate a positive impact on their environment. It is of utmost importance to recognize and value the achievements of workers. When workers feel that their work is recognized and valued, they feel more committed and motivated to achieve the established objectives. In Ecuador, this process of labor recognition is stipulated, although not all workers feel recognized. Therefore, the objective of the article is to determine the level of satisfaction of workers from private companies regarding the recognition system applied. A mixed methodology was used, being explanatory and non-experimental, of action research. One hundred workers from private manufacturing companies participated in the study. The level of satisfaction with the recognition system was medium with a downward trend. A training program was proposed to elevate the level of worker satisfaction, which will be implemented for employers. The participation of law professors and students strengthens the didactic program. The way a company manages its recognition system and its approach to human capital management can have a significant impact on employee satisfaction and performance.
