La promoción de lectura más allá de la biblioteca escolar

Abstract

El trabajo del bibliotecario escolar va más allá que el de despertar el interés por la lectura y que el niño, adolescente y joven descubra el maravillosos mundo que hay detrás de cada libro, de cada historia. Debe despertar, la necesidad de saber más, de querer ir en busca de más, de sentir que al terminar la lectura de un libro es como dejar atrás a un ser muy querido. “La Promoción de Lectura más allá de la biblioteca escolar” tiene como objetivo incentivar en toda la comunidad escolar y no escolar el gusto por la lectura, y el conocimiento; para ello se han ido desarrollando estrategias en los diferentes municipios de la provincia, partiendo de sus necesidades e individualidades. Se propone unir a las bibliotecarias y bibliotecarios de todas las instituciones de información en su integración con la ASCUBI para el desarrollo de las estrategias que permitan unificar criterios en cuanto a la importante tarea de lograr rescatar el hábito lector en nuestra sociedad.

ABSTRACT

The work of the school librarian goes further than that of arousing the interest for the reading and where the boy, adolescent and young man discover the marvelous world that there is within each book, within every history. It should awake the need to know more, of searching for more, of feeling that when finishing the reading of a book it is like leaving behind a sweeting friend. The reading promotion beyond the school library aims at motivating in the whole school and not school community the pleasure for the reading and the knowledge. To fulfill this objective they have developed strategies in the different municipalities of the province, departing of its needs and individualities. It is proposed to join up to the librarians of all the institutions of information in the integration with ASCUBI for the development of the strategies that allow to join criteria about the important task of achieving the retrieval of reading habit in our society.
