Escritura argumentativa, una breve aproximación desde la ciencia, la tecnología y la sociedad

Resumen

El presente artículo hace una breve reflexión sobre el papel de la escritura y la argumentación en la escolaridad colombiana. Se analiza cómo se articulan las habilidades de leer y escribir en torno a los fines de la educación y del desarrollo científico, tecnológico y social. Se lleva a cabo una revisión del tema a partir del desempeño de estudiantes del último grado de la educación media en Colombia. Se proponen análisis e indagaciones que responden a necesidades del entorno escolar, social, político y cultural. De esta manera se pretende contribuir a la formación de un individuo con sentido crítico, acorde con su tiempo, con las necesidades y exigencias cognitivas para desempeñarse como ciudadano del mundo, con relaciones más coherentes entre lo humano y lo tecnológico.

ABSTRACT

This article makes a brief reflection on the role of writing and argumentation in Colombian schooling. It analyzes how the skills of reading and writing are articulated around the purposes of education and scientific, technological and social development. A review of the subject is carried out based on the performance of students in the last grade of secondary education in Colombia. Analyses and inquiries are proposed that respond to the needs of the school, social, political and cultural environment. In this way, it is intended to contribute to the formation of an individual with a critical sense, in accordance with his time, with the cognitive needs and requirements to function as a citizen of the world, with more coherent relationships between human and technological.
