Active Methodologies for providing educational support to academically talented students in Basic Secondary Education
Abstract
This article addresses the need to improve the educational support of academically talented students in Colombian secondary education by addressing strategies to optimize their learning. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, with an exploratory and descriptive scope, utilizing observation, interviews, and focus groups to collect relevant information. Triangulation techniques allowed for data validation and a comprehensive analysis of teaching practices. The results demonstrate the urgent need to strengthen teacher training, establish precise identification protocols, implement active methodologies, and ensure the availability of teaching resources. These findings offer a framework for optimizing teaching, promoting a more equitable and inclusive education aligned with current learning demands. It is concluded that the application of methodological guidelines will foster quality educational support, stimulating student commitment, autonomy, and motivation, and enabling them to face academic challenges more successfully.
