Sistema de información integral para el proceso de vinculación de la Universidad San Gregorio de Portoviejo

Abstract

La información que se genera desde cada uno de estos procesos sustantivos de la educación superior: docencia, investigación, vinculación con la sociedad, se convierte en un pilar de la gestión universitaria y se valoriza en la evaluación de la calidad educativa universitaria. Enfocados en el perfeccionamiento de la gestión integral de la Universidad San Gregorio de Portoviejo (USGP), se asumió la necesidad de elaborar una herramienta informática que pudiera aportar información relevante del proceso de Vinculación con la Sociedad y, por tanto, constituye un instrumento de la organización y el control de los proyectos de vinculación. Sistema de Información Integral para la gestión del proceso de Vinculación con la Sociedad (SI-VS) que se elaboró permite elevar la accesibilidad y transparencia de la información, lo cual contribuye a la toma de decisiones económicas y académicas en función de satisfacer las expectativas institucionales asociadas a la pertinencia e impacto del vínculo universidad y sociedad. Las características y la dinámica de su utilización se explican en este trabajo y constituye un recurso fundamental en el modelo de gestión que se ha elaborado para este fin en la Universidad San Gregorio de Portoviejo.

ABSTRACT

The information that is generated from each one of these processes nouns of the superior education: docencia, investigation, linking with the society, becomes a pillar of the university administration and it is valorized in the evaluation of the quality educational university student. Focused in the improvement of the integral administration of the University San Gregorio of Portoviejo (USGP), the necessity was assumed of elaborating a computer tool that could contribute outstanding information of the process of Linking with the Society and, therefore, it constitutes an instrument of the organization and the control of the linking projects. System of Integral Information for the administration of the process of Linking with the Society (IF-VS) that was elaborated it allows to elevate the accessibility and transparency of the information, that which contributes to the taking of economic and academic decisions in function of satisfying the institutional expectations associated to the relevancy and impact of the bond university and society. The characteristics and the dynamics of their use are explained in this work and it constitutes a fundamental resource in the administration pattern that has been elaborated for this end in the University San Gregorio of Portoviejo.
