Keywords:
Collaborative work, academic performance, learning strategiesAbstract
This research addresses collaborative work as a key methodological strategy for the development of communicative, participatory and problem-solving skills in students. The main objective was to determine the factors that influence collaborative work and to analyze its impact on the academic performance of Environmental Engineering and Architecture students, careers that require constant teamwork. Surveys and interviews were applied to teachers and students, complemented with statistical analysis in RStudio and a descriptive study of the data obtained. The results showed that affinity among students is a common criterion for the formation of groups, and that both teachers and students recognize that collaborative work has a significant influence on the final average. Differences in the perception of communication were identified: while teachers claim to be informed about the lack of collaboration, students express their preference not to report such situations.
