La tutoría en la educación superior y su integración en la actividad pedagógica del docente universitario

Abstract

En el artículo se reflexiona sobre el papel de los docentes universitarios en la tutoría para potenciar de manera autónoma la formación integral de sus estudiantes. Se analizan, además, la tutoría como forma de organización fundamental, donde se concreta, de manera general, lo académico, lo laboral y lo investigativo; los ámbitos de actuación básicas del tutor; y los tipos de actividad pedagógica, donde los docentes deben realizar sus tutorías. A partir de lo anterior se realiza una propuesta metodológica para el ejercicio de tutoría en cualquiera de los ámbitos de intervención. Se concluye reconociendo la importancia de la tutoría en la educación superior En el contexto de la Educación Superior hoy se reconoce la importancia de tutores que estimulen, orienten y apoyen a sus estudiantes en el aprendizaje.

ABSTRACT

The article reflects on the role of university teachers in tutoring to autonomously enhance the comprehensive training of the students. In addition, tutoring is analyzed as a form of fundamental organization, where the academic, work and research aspects are specified in a general way; the basic areas of action of the tutor; and the types of pedagogical activity, where teachers must carry out their tutorials. Based on the above, a methodological proposal is made for the practice of tutoring in any of the intervention areas. It is concluded by recognizing the importance of tutoring in higher education in the context of Higher Education, the importance of tutors who encourage, guide and support their students in learning is recognized today.
