Análisis del Ranking 2021 de universidades ecuatorianas del Times Higher Education con el Método Topsis
Resumen
El presente estudio tuvo como objetivo analizar el contraste de los resultados del ranking 2021 de universidades ecuatorianas del Times Higher Education con el uso del Método TOPSIS. Fue un estudio del nivel descriptivo, de tipo observacional, retrospectivo y transversal, desarrollado en algunas universidades de Ecuador, según el Latin America University Rankings. Se utilizó el Método TOPSIS con el apoyo de Microsoft Excel 2019. Como resultados se evidenció el gran valor práctico del Método TOPSIS como técnica de toma de decisiones multicriterio, así como la confirmación de la Universidad San Francisco de Quito y la Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, como líderes indiscutibles del ranking Times Higher Education 2021. Se concluyó que no existe total coincidencia entre el ranking Times Higher Education 2021 con el ranking TOPSIS.

ABSTRACT
The objective of this study was to analyze the contrast of the results of the 2021 ranking of Ecuadorian universities of the Times Higher Education with the use of the TOPSIS Method. It was a descriptive, observational, retrospective and cross-sectional study, developed in some universities in Ecuador, according to the Latin America University Rankings. The TOPSIS method was used with the support of Microsoft Excel 2019. The results showed the great practical value of the TOPSIS Method as a multicriteria decision-making technique, as well as the confirmation of the Universidad San Francisco de Quito and the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, as undisputed leaders of the Times Higher Education 2021 ranking. It was concluded that there is no total coincidence between the Times Higher Education 2021 ranking and the TOPSIS ranking.Keywords:
