Challenges and perspectives to implement of the artificial intelligence in the educational system in UNIANDES

Present it investigation examines challenges and perspectives of the implementation of the artificial intelligence ( AI ) at the University of the Andes in the context of the Ecuadorian educational system,. With a mixed focus, opinion polls, semi-structured interviews and documentary revision compiled intervening data themselves, comprising students, teachers and administrative staff. The results suggest that the level of knowledge on AI is limited, specially between the administrative staff, while teachers and students present a half a knowledge. Enter the principal identified challenges the lack of technological infrastructure, the insufficiency of programs of capacitation and the resistance highlight the change. In addition, the perspectives on the impact of AI are promising, indicating benefits like the personalized learning, the optimization of administrative processes and the improvement in the educational quality. The discussion highlights the need to invest in technology, to unroll programs of continuous formation and to promote an organizational sincere culture to the change. Besides, obvious policies for the ethical and effective integration of AI are recommended to establish, guaranteeing his contribution to the educational and social development. In conclusion, the AI has the potential to turn the educational system into the University of the Andes, but his successful implementation requires to discuss structural, cultural and formative challenges. A base to design strategies that encourage an effective and sustainable adoption of the artificial intelligence in the Ecuadorian higher education provides this study.
