Keywords:
Artificial intelligence, Professional development, EducationAbstract
The present study aimed to analyze the impact of artificial intelligence on the professional development of university faculty and students, highlighting both its opportunities and challenges. The methodology employed was based on a mixed approach with a predominance of quantitative analysis, using online questionnaires to explore perceptions and formative experiences. The results showed a high willingness of faculty and students to integrate artificial intelligence tools into their academic practices, recognizing their potential for personalizing learning and enhancing teacher education. However, challenges were also identified, such as ensuring equal access, protecting data, and redefining the role of the teacher. It was concluded that artificial intelligence emerges as a key catalyst for fostering innovation in the educational sphere, provided that ethical and critical training is ensured and the creation of inclusive and sustainable communities of practice is promoted.
