Systematization by reflecting the State of the Art in Music Education in Colombia

Music has always been an important part of human beings, which is why Music Education plays a relevant role in different formal and informal teaching-learning settings, from early childhood to higher education. Scientific research provides a glimpse into those topics that have occupied and continue to occupy an important place that can be framed within pedagogy as a science. Therefore, this is a theoretical inquiry that aims to present a systematization of some contemporary studies on Music Education to serve as raw material for those professionals who are in the process of investigating topics for their postgraduate theses and are not up to date on how to address or propose them. Here are different topics proposed since 2000 in the context of Music Education to facilitate analysis of the priorities that need to be further studied, without neglecting the dynamism and permanent innovation demanded by current times
