El Sistema Educativo Ecuatoriano y el impacto de la pandemia COVID-19

Abstract

La covid-19 pone de manifiesto en todo el mundo la falta de recursos y adaptación del sistema educativo para mantener el aprendizaje a distancia. Las actuales tecnologías de la información y la comunicación no están al alcance de todos los estudiantes y los docentes en una cantidad significativa, no poseen el dominio de estas para aplicar metodologías que favorezcan el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. La crisis impuesta por la pandemia incrementa los niveles de deserción y disminuye el aprendizaje a gran escala en todos los países. Las políticas del Estado se han de pronunciar por transformaciones que permiten la toma de medidas para enfrentar cualquier situación y favorezca el aprendizaje por modelos híbridos en los diferentes niveles educativos. La investigación muestra la necesidad de realizar cambios sustanciales en los modelos actuales de enseñanza para el beneficio de todos los estudiantes.

 ABSTRACT

The covid-19 pandemic reveals throughout the world the lack of resources and adaptation of the educational system to maintain distance learning. Current information and communication technologies are not available to all students and a significant number of teachers do not have the mastery of these to apply methodologies that promote student learning. The crisis imposed by the pandemic increases dropout levels and decreases large-scale learning in all countries. State policies must advocate for transformations that allow measures to be taken to face any situation and favor learning through hybrid models at different educational levels. Research shows the need to make substantial changes to current teaching models for the benefit of all students.
