The Natural Sciences discipline in Basic General Education in Ecuador is in charge of relating students to environmental problems from the curriculum, with the purpose of opening a new possibility to appreciate, know, apply and promote commitment to caring for the natural environment. From this position, the research problem was presented: How to relate environmental problems to the content of Natural Sciences for third grade students? And the objective was: To propose workshops to promote the relationship of environmental problems with the content of Natural Sciences for third grade students. The research was based on the use of qualitative methodology, which explains a greater role of students and teachers, but also of the family to design the proposal. The research supports the innovative position that is assumed, by using workshops that integrate the protection of biodiversity, as an environmental problem that can be related to the content of the Natural Sciences subject, which will allow stimulating the motivation of students for these issues, while recognizing the way in which parents can participate in this process. The proposal is an opportunity to develop practical skills that can be applied in daily life while involving them in the dissemination of Ecuador's natural treasures.
