This study offers practical recommendations on how Game-Based Learning helps improve English speaking skills in Elementary Basic Education students. We start from the idea that Educational Units guide students to form individuals who can express themselves adequately using the foreign language. To this end, the study used a mixed methodology and worked with a sample of second and third-year EGB students from the Hermano Miguel La Salle Educational Unit in Tulcán, Carchi province. Information was collected through systematic observations, interviews, speech and language tests, surveys, and document analysis. The results obtained showed that Game-Based Learning improves English speaking skills, especially when using digital and board games that offer challenges, immediate feedback, and rewards. Demonstrating that this teaching strategy is effective and it is recommended to integrate it into the school curriculum, in addition to providing continuous training to teachers to ensure its sustainability.
