La escuela de educación familiar en función de estimular el gusto por la lectura

Resumen

El trabajo por la lectura, forma parte de la tradición educativa en la escuela y en el hogar, pero en opinión de algunos especialistas precisa en la actualidad una renovación que confirme su contribución al tratamiento de los valores asociados a una cultura de vida a partir de la inserción en los diferentes contextos educativos donde el escolar se desenvuelve. El presente trabajo responde a una experiencia profesional e investigativa relacionada con la promoción lectora en la escuela primaria y desde la escuela de padres en congruencia con el papel que corresponde a la familia en cuanto a estimular, incitar, avivar las acciones que diseña la institución docente. La determinación de criterios para la selección de temas y textos, así como la presentación de alternativas didácticas para su desarrollo, constituyen los aportes más significativos de este artículo.

ABSTRACT

Working with reading is part of the educational tradition of homes and schools. But to some specialists, it requires renovation that strengthens its contribution to the treatment of values associated to a life culture from its insertion in the different educational contexts in which the students act.  The present work responds to a professional and research experience related to the promotion of reading in elementary school and the School for Parents fitting the role of the family while stimulating, fostering and strengthening the actions designed by the teaching institution. The settings of criteria for the selection of texts and topics as well as the presentation of didactic alternatives for its development are considered the most significant contributions of this article.
