Professional development in science communication in the postgraduate program at the University of Cienfuegos

Scientific communication constitutes a key element for the development of the substantive processes of higher education institutions, with greater incidence in research. Hence, the University must promote knowledge and skills training spaces according to the current demands of the publication models in scientific journals, with its consequent dissemination in informal communication channels. However, in the practice of the editorial management of scientific publications, insufficiencies are observed in the use of linguistic tools to write and integrate a scientific text, as well as, in the management of information sources by postgraduate students. In the following work, the content analysis of a non -probabilistic and intentional sample of 15 articles under review and publication by the scientific journal Culture, Communication and Development of the University of Cienfuegos between December 2023 and December 2024, corresponding to students of the V Edition of the Master in Social Studies of Science and Technology and the II Edition of the Master in Communication Sciences is presented. As a result of this inquiry, a program of overcoming on communication of science and editorial culture for postgraduate students of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Cienfuegos
