Abstract

Mastery of the English language is essential to ensure academic and professional success; There is currently a growing demand for competent professionals in their area of ​​training, armed with psychosocial skills and digital competencies; issue that captures the attention of universities, which seek to implement innovative teaching strategies to train students with the skills necessary to compete globally; which motivates this research with a mixed approach and a descriptive and exploratory scope for teaching the English language. The objective focuses on proposing a teaching strategy of the English language through digital tools that enhances the linguistic and socio-emotional skills in students of the National and Foreign Languages ​​Pedagogy Program, at UNESUM. As a result, an innovative and integrative teaching strategy is proposed that is based on pre-existing theoretical experience to strengthen linguistic skills and develop socio-emotional skills, through collaborative, reflective and contextualized activities in an inclusive and motivating learning environment facilitated by digital tools. ;  where students not only learn English, but also develop essential skills for their personal and professional lives. The validation of the strategy by experts, and the author's criteria, attest to its positive impact, concluding that digital tools create an inclusive and motivating environment for the comprehensive development of the student. The topic remains open for future research related to the topic, not only at the State University of the South of Manabí, but also in other public Higher Education institutions in Ecuador.
