The conception of the Third Improvement of the National Education System requires an institutional curriculum that expresses its concrete expression in the Institutional Educational Project, where scientific-methodological work was implemented as an essential component, employing all its forms and avenues. This conception is materialized through a cooperative, more flexible, and contextualized management style. The research aimed to propose a strategy to improve the preparation of Pre-University Education directors in the management of scientific-methodological work within the context of the Institutional Educational Project. The research was conducted with a dialectical-materialist approach that allowed for a combined use of the applied methods and techniques, taking into account the proposed objectives and specific tasks. Theoretical methods: historical-logical analysis, inductive-deductive analysis, analytical-synthetic analysis, and a systems approach. At the empirical level: documentary analysis, group interviews, direct observation, and surveys. The main outcome of the research process was a strategy for preparing pre-university directors to manage scientific and methodological work within the context of the institutional educational project, as well as the system of actions that emerged as part of the four stages comprising it: diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
