A bibliometric review related to prosocial behavior in young people in educational contexts
Keywords:
Social behavio, Youth, Educational researchAbstract
Prosocial behaviors have marked an interest in recent decades that seek to identify how they develop and how they are formed at an early age. By means of scientific mapping, the main authors, journals and countries in this field of knowledge were identified; the most relevant research was classified into three categories, namely, classical, structural and perspectives, which were represented by the metaphor of the tree of science. Well-defined research trends were identified around longitudinal research correlating prosocial behaviors and parenting patterns, the impact of training in prosocial behaviors in schools and universities, and on the impact of the development of prosocial behaviors in vulnerable populations. The usefulness of the results found for the academic and scientific community in areas of knowledge such as psychology, education and other social sciences is highlighted.
