Abstract

This article presents the partial results and theoretical-methodological foundations of project PS211LH008-022, “Management of Child and Youth Talent in the Development of a Scientific-Innovative Culture,” implemented by the University of Matanzas from January 2024 to July 2025. A single-case, mixed-methods design was adopted, aligned with the PMBOK® Guide, the CITMA Methodological Indications, and the UNDP Logical Framework. The results are organized into five pillars: (1) conceptual systematization; (2) development and validation of diagnostic instruments; (3) modeling of territorial processes; (4) consolidation of the interdisciplinary team; and (5) correlation between objectives and outcomes. Key highlights include the operational definitions of talent and talent management, the validation of diagnostic tools with Cronbach’s alpha (α) ≥ 0.85, the design of seven territorial protocols, the integration of 15 researchers, and the delivery of eight workshops and three dissemination activities involving 360 participants. These advances lay the groundwork for subsequent phases aimed at producing a replicable model in similar educational contexts.
