Financial education and ethics in digital marketing: Perspectives on decision making

In 2000 the parish councils were created, then they were given the category of decentralized autonomous governments, with: political, administrative and financial autonomy; functions and competencies. The objective is the application of financial education and ethics in rural decentralized autonomous governments in the canton of Cuenca. A mixed methodology was used, highlighting the importance of merging qualitative and quantitative elements. The results indicate high awareness of financial ethics and its impact on society and the environment. However, there is dissatisfaction with past financial decisions, highlighting the need to improve financial management through education to align it with community expectations. Respondents show a proactive attitude towards financial risk assessment and information seeking, highlighting the importance of financial education and access to relevant information. With the implementation of digital marketing strategies as a tool to socialize the information.
