Perception of Justice from an Axiological and Natural Law Perspective: An Empirical Analysis Using the IADOV Method
Abstract
This paper analyzes the perception of justice from an axiological and natural law perspective, using the IADOV method to assess the satisfaction of 100 participants, including law students and jurists. A questionnaire with both closed and open-ended questions was used to collect quantitative and qualitative data on the relationship between moral principles and justice in the contemporary legal context. The results reveal a general consensus on the importance of justice being based on universal moral principles, such as equity and human rights. The quantitative analysis shows a high satisfaction index regarding the idea of justice transcending positive law, while strict adherence to laws, even when contradicting moral principles, received a negative assessment. Meanwhile, the qualitative analysis highlights the importance of justice aimed at defending human rights.
