Evaluation of the knowledge and application of practical epistemology in the ecuadorian legal context
Keywords:
Practical epistemology, Epistemological trends, Competency assessmentAbstract
This study examines the level of knowledge and application of practical epistemology among Ecuadorian jurists, specifically in the city of Tulcán. Using a descriptive cross-sectional approach, ten legal professionals were evaluated based on key criteria. The results reveal significant variability in the epistemological competencies of the jurists, highlighting some as potential leaders in the field, while others exhibit deficiencies that require educational intervention. A training program focused on improving the understanding and application of epistemology in the legal field is proposed, aiming to enhance the level of knowledge and strengthen jurists' ability to address contemporary challenges in legal conflict resolution. The study concludes that a balanced approach integrating theory, practice, and continuous updating is essential for professional development and the improvement of the administration of justice in Ecuador.
