Approach to the Ethical-Legal component of Digital Teaching Competence for teachers in Cuba

In the article, an approach is made to the elements related to the ethical and legal use of Digital Technologies as part of the Digital Teaching Competence, which allows guiding the training and performance of the practicing teacher in the National Education System in Cuba in the use of these resources from respect for the legal, moral and ethical standards accepted by society. For its preparation, different research methods were used, both qualitative and quantitative, with a high presence of the study and contrast of the main international references on the subject, collective construction, as well as the criteria of specialists and experts. The content that characterizes the Ethical and legal dimension of Digital Teaching Competence is proposed, the knowledge (knowing, doing and being) that must identify the practicing teacher in Cuba, the areas of the proposed dimension, as well as the learning results that would demonstrate their training, development and achievement. The proposal made received a high degree of acceptance in the samples used in the applied instrument, both in the content of the Ethics and Legal dimension, the areas that comprise it, the declared knowledge, and the proposed learning results.
