Personality Traits in Ambato Adolescents: A Comparative Analysis in Secondary Education
Keywords:
Personality, Adolescence, Secondary Education, Ambato, Comparative AnalysisAbstract
Personality in adolescents is a determining factor in academic, social, and emotional development, shaping how they face challenges and build relationships. In the secondary education context of Ambato, it becomes crucial to understand how personality traits emerge and vary across student groups, as these differences may reflect sociocultural, family, and pedagogical influences. This comparative analysis examines the presence of traits such as extraversion, openness to experience, conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism—variables that have been shown to predict academic performance and social adjustment. Furthermore, the study highlights the role of the school environment, family dynamics, and community factors as modulators in the expression of adolescent personality. The findings allow for the identification of relevant trends that contribute to the development of psychoeducational profiles, which are valuable for designing differentiated pedagogical strategies aimed at fostering integral development. In this sense, the research contributes to understanding the connection between personality and secondary education in Ambato, while also offering a framework for future studies and the implementation of psychological and academic support programs that strengthen students’ socio-emotional competencies
